The symbols of the Greek god Apollo were the lyre, the tripod, the laurel tree branch, the navel stone, and the stone amulet. The lyre stands for the god of music, and was Apollo's most significant instrument. The tripod stands for the sacrifice Apollo took to defeat the python, and fought Heracles for the tripod. The laurel tree branch stands for how he devoted his love to Daphne, and how he kept it on his head for the remainder of his life. The navel stone stands for conquer of Delphi by Apollo, and how he buried the navel stones in the Delphi Oracle. The sun amulet stands for how Apollo can protect people who summon him that are in danger with his amulet.
